With the help of funds raised on Globalgiving.org and Korean Campaign to Ban Landmines, Ban Landmines Campaign Nepal (NCBL) organized a symposium on "The Rights and Realities of Children with Disabilities" on 14 December 2012. Purna Shova Chitrakar, coordinator of NCBL, elaborated on the activities of NCBL on the occasion. During the program our chief guest Minister of Women, Children and Social Welfare presented the NCBL educational package (especially made for blind children), school uniforms and white canes to 10 blind children from Dang District. Since, Dang District is far from the capital, we invited a local representative, Mr. Met Mani Chaudari, to accept and deliver these items to the recipients. The recipients were namely - Bishnu Chaudhari (grade 9), Sunita Chaudhari (grade 8), Shusila Chaudhari (grade 9), Rabin Chaudhari (grade 8), Shila Chaudhari (grade 8), Nimaya Chaudhari (grade 7), Santosh Pun Magar (grade 8), Geeta Wani (grade 8), Lalmati Kumal (grade 7) and Suman BK (pre-school).
